Shelbourne Wallace and his father started Wallace Oldsmobile in 1961 on West State Street in downtown Bristol. In 1964, the dealership moved to 320 Volunteer Parkway. After speaking with a number of his customers and listening to their frustrations in dealing with other auto body repair shops, Shelbourne decided that he could offer a better way of doing business. He started his collision repair services along with auto-body paint in 1975 at the 320 Volunteer Parkway location. He built his automobile body repair business on an unwavering commitment to quality and customer safety. Shelbourne knew that the solution to everyone’s frustration was simple: If his collision repair shop could repair the vehicles to the undamaged state that he himself would be comfortable in allowing his family to travel, he would have satisfied customers…with over 17,000 customer’s served the rest is history.

In 2016, as part of renovation of the Wallace Kia of Bristol, Wallace Volkswagen of Bristol, and the Wallace Subaru of Bristol dealerships, the Wallace Collision Group put its over 40 years of experience into a newly renovated and state of the art collision repair facility at 1625 Bluff City Highway. Our new facility will allow us to put out an even higher quality of workmanship and to better serve auto body shop repair customers in Bristol, TN; Bristol, VA; Abingdon, VA; Bluff City, TN; Blountville, TN; Johnson City, TN; and Kingsport, TN. More than 40 years later, Wallace Collision Repair’s mission stays the same: Our auto-body repair work will only be good enough for our customers when it is good enough for our families.
